I know how that feels. I left one of the best schools in the country, but still only achieved poor exam results, with no interest in university, and little idea of what would come next. I see the same story today, young people written off before they’ve even started.

Mark’s Mission for Our Children
At 69 years old, I’ve had my share of ups and downs in business. I’ve built companies, employed people, been knocked down, and rebuilt again. Along the way, I’ve been privileged to meet some remarkable people, including Mother Teresa herself.
She once held my hand for 20 minutes, asking questions to decide whether she could trust me. The next day, she rang to say she did, and even wrote a personal letter to my newborn son George.
If Mother Teresa could trust me, I hope you might, too. Now, as I look to the future, I want to give something back.
What It’s About?
SWE is a completely free programme designed to give young people:
- Confidence — to believe in themselves, no matter what their grades say.
- The right attitude — because mindset matters more than certificates.
- Real-life examples — of winners who’ve succeeded without qualifications.
Inspired by Napoleon Hill and other timeless success thinkers, we aim to prove that exams don’t define your future.
Why It Matters
Too many teenagers step straight from school into dead-end jobs. They’re told they’re “not academic enough” or “not qualified enough.”
But with the right confidence, persistence, and mindset, they can create opportunities, build businesses, and shape their own futures.
And here’s the key: it’s entirely free.
Our First Steps
- Build a coalition of sponsors, business leaders, and schools to support the mission.
- Create free workshops, talks, and online resources to equip young people with practical life and business skills.
- Launch the Success Without Exams platform as a hub of inspiration, opportunity, and real-world guidance.
